Are you flustered in the morning? Is your morning routine with your child/children hectic or chaotic? Simple planning, the night before, will bring peace to your morning routine. At the end of the day, I know the last thing you are thinking of is the next day. But, you really should think of the next day! Just before bedtime, make a game out of gathering homework, permission forms, backpacks, snacks, and tomorrow's outfit with your kiddos. You could set the backpacks in the car or at the door. This routine could easily take 15-20 minutes, and it is a positive way to model pre-planning and time-management for your children. You will be surprised how smooth and peaceful your morning will be, just by doing this one simple step before bed.
Another easy tip for you mommas is to gather what you will need for your day ahead of time too. You set the tone for your family, as you get ready for your day. If you are moody and frazzled, your morning will easily become out of control. Your attitude will be transferred to your children, which does not set them up for success.
Here are a few more things you can do ahead of time. Set out your breakfast dishes and cups the night before. Decide what breakfast items you will need and have a morning plan to get your meal ready and prepared for your family. When you are calm and ready for your day, your attitude and mindset will be positive and peaceful. By doing these few things, you will create a calm atmosphere for your family, from the moment they get up. If you are organized and ready to tackle the day, your positive and peaceful vibes will be passed on to your children too. Now that is a recipe for positivity and success!
Set in motion a few of these helpful tips, and you will create and model a successful beginning, for the whole family, each and every day!
